For comprehensive coverage: NTUC Income Travel Insurance or Sompo Travel Joy

Both plans offer the highest coverage for flight and baggage delays as well as personal accident cover. The basic plan for NTUC Income Travel Insurance also includes home and terrorism cover.

NTUC Income also covers for pre-existing conditions under their Enhanced PreX Plans. While Sompo's travel insurance do not cover for pre-existing conditions, their Deluxe, Elite and GO Japan! plans cover for emergency evacuation or repatriation due to pre-existing medical conditions.

For high trip cancellation coverage: QBE Travelon

Receive up to $12,500 coverage for loss of deposit and/or charges from trip cancellation.

For high post-trip medical coverage: MSIG TravelEasy

MSIG TravelEasy provides up to $25,000 coverage for post-trip medical expenses, the highest among the 5 insurers for basic plans.
