Investing with Fundsupermart [Foreigners]
For non Singapore residents, you may also open an account with Fundsupermart Singapore. Do note that the accounts opened with Fundsupermart Singapore will be treated as separate accounts opened in Fundsupermart India / Hong Kong / Malaysia. You may also wish to take note of the restrictions in funds, taxation issues and sale and purchase of funds.
Restrictions on funds for U.S and U.K citizens / residents
U.S Citizens/Residents
Most funds listed in Singapore have restrictions for U.S. Citizens/Residents, thus you are advised to check with your tax advisers before investing in them. This also applies if the applicant of your Beneficiary Account is a U.S Citizen/Resident.
Irish Citizens/Residents
Irish residents are restricted from investing into the Legg Mason Value Fund only. All other funds from Legg Mason will still be available to Irish Citizen/Residents. This restriction also applies if the applicant of your Beneficiary Account is a Irish Citizen/Resident.
The above restrictions apply to both lump sum investing and Regular Savings Plans (RSP).
Taxation
Both capital gains and dividends for unit trust investments are not taxable in Singapore. However, it is advisable to check with your own tax consultant if it is taxable in a your country.
Payment Methods
Most of our funds are denominated in Singapore Dollar (SGD). We accept payment in Singapore Dollar (SGD), US Dollar (USD), Australian Dollar (AUD) and Euro Dollar (EUR) and we will do the conversion for you accordingly. Payment can be made in the following ways:
Wire/Telegraphic Transfer
Payment instructions will be available at the confirmation page of the buy process. If you need help, drop us an e-mail at clienthelp@fundsupermart.com. Note that bank charges will be incurred for Wire/Telegraphic Transfer.
Foreign cheque is not advisable due to higher bank charges incurred and a longer clearance time before the order can be processed.
If you are a foreigner staying in Singapore, you may choose to make payment with your Singapore bank account::
1. Cheque (for Singapore Dollars only)
Payee: iFAST Financial-Client Trust Account, please also include your Fundsupermart account number at the back of your cheque and mail the cheque to us at:

2. Internet Bill Payment (for Singapore Dollars only)
If you have a DBS, SCB, OCBC or UOB Internet bank account, you may choose to pay using the bank's Internet Bill Payment service. At the end of your purchase at Fundsupermart.com, click on "Internet Payment". This will direct you to your internet banking login page. Select iFAST Financial Pte Ltd as the payee, and key in your Fundsupermart account number. We will process the transaction upon receiving confirmation of the payment by the next working day.
3. Bank Drafts (for Singapore Dollars only)
Make the bank draft payable to iFAST Financial-Client Trust Account. Please note that we only accept bank drafts from the following banks:
Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Corporation (HSBC)
Standard Chartered Bank
Citibank
Bank of China
United Overseas Bank
DBS Bank
OCBC Bank
Kindly include your Fundsupermart account number for reference.
Parking Funds
If you are unsure waiting for a better time to invest, or simply looking for a low-risk fund to park the money and earn a higher interest, consider our range of parking facility funds. The funds are relatively liquid and are of lower risk as it assets are mainly invested in short term bonds and money market instruments, aiming to provide yield enhancement to fixed deposit returns. You can choose to park your monies in the parking funds when you decide to switch buy or sell from a fund. Selling From Your Account
When you execute a 'Sell' transaction to sell your funds, we can arrange to remit the sales proceeds back to your bank account in USD or SGD. At the moment, we do not remit any other currencies internationally. Any telegraphic transfer charges incurred will be deducted from your sales proceeds.

Statements
Physical statements will be sent out twice a year, in January and July respectively. E-statements will be sent via email on a monthly basis – if there is a transaction in that month. Alternatively, you may view the statements for the past 12 months under “My Investments” section upon login in Fundsupermart website.
